The Chinese are coming. As a matter of fact they are already here. They own big industries in European countries. They win construction contracts in Poland. They invest in communication and infrastructure in Greece and buy textile factories in Italy. They have about half of the world market of wind energy.
The EU is China’s biggest trade partner, and both Danish and other European enterprises are present in China. The potential is huge, and experts indicate that we have far from finished with China. As a matter of fact we have only just begun.
Danish and international firms look for employees with skills both in business economics and Chinese language and culture. With a MA in Business, Language and Culture (Chinese) you will have the qualifications required by many Danish and international enterprises that work in China or trade with the Chinese from Denmark or other countries.
50% of the courses of the MA programme lie within the disciplines Chinese culture, society, economy, and communication and language skills in Chinese. Another 50% of the courses lie within the business administration field with emphasis on business organization and marketing in relation to the international market.
Apart from a number of compulsory courses in the two main areas listed up above, you will get the opportunity to shape your academic profile through electives in both areas. You can either take these electives in Sønderborg or during a study stay in China, or you can replace them by reports from internships in China.
Individual profiling is also possible in the final thesis: You choose the topic yourself, and can draw in a partnership with a company.
