The international Master’s degree programme in Children’s Literature, Media and Culture (CLMC) is aimed at students who wish to pursue a career in the areas of children’s literature, media and education in a number of fields, and is intended as preparation for further PhD studies. The jointly developed and implemented programme will provide you with academic knowledge and research skills and develop your practical employability. The programme will build on your interests and experiences related to children’s and young adult literature, media and culture in order to deepen your knowledge of the expanding intersection of the fields of literature studies, media studies, childhood studies and education from an international perspective.
Learn at leading institutions
The degree programme takes place at universities in at least three different European countries, including two compulsory semesters at the University of Glasgow and Aarhus University. Your teachers will be international experts from strong research communities within the field, who will provide a theoretical and analytical grounding that includes historical, literary, educational and media-related frameworks for the study of children’s literature and media. As Erasmus Mundus programmes accept students from all over the world, you will be studying with a highly dedicated and talented international group of students. It is possible to apply for funding for the programme, but you can also pay for it yourself.
