The Master’s Programme in Church Music, Organ and Keyboard, aims to educate musicians that possess superior artistic, pedagogical and professional qualities. On completion of the programme, the student must possess advanced knowledge and skills in order to work within the various functions and engagements of a professional musician – either as a soloist, a member of an established ensemble, or as a church musician within the Church of Sweden or within other denominations. The student must also have developed such skills necessary for continued or in-depth studies that are to a great degree autonomous. Furthermore, on completion of the programme, the student must have acquired thorough entrepreneurial skills that increase his/her professional versatility in an ever-changing ecclesiastical and cultural life.
Please note that you have to do the required admission tests at Malmö Academy of Music to apply for this programme. It is very important that you read the information carefully about the tests/auditions and the details about the specific programme that you are applying for at the web site for Malmö Academy of Music. English language requirements
Most of Lund University’s programmes require English Level 6 (unless otherwise stated under “Entry requirements”). This is the equivalent of an overall IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL score of 90. There are several ways to prove your English language proficiency – check which proof is accepted at the University Admissions in Sweden website. All students must prove they meet English language requirements by the deadline, in order to be considered for admission.
