The Academy enjoys a vibrant vocal studies environment featuring solo recitals, ensemble concerts, and collaboration projects with professional ensembles and orchestras. There is close internal collaboration; not just with the pianists but also with other instrument groups in the Classical department.
The Academy regularly arranges master classes featuring international artists, and you may also get the opportunity to participate in an opera production.
Vocal Studies students at the Academy have a strong tradition for supporting one another, and for participating in joint learning projects and concerts.
We also collaborate closely with the Jazz/pop and Electronic music departments at the Academy who regularly make use of classical instrumentalists and singers in their projects. As a classical musician, you also have good opportunities for finding collaboration partners yourself among the jazz/pop and electronic music students. In addition, you have ample opportunities for choir work in many different contexts and styles.
The pedagogical programmes are executed in collaboration with music schools and Academy preparation courses throughout the region.
Following an audition, you may be selected for soloist assignments with both symphony orchestras and chamber orchestras. The Academy’s great concert halls give you ample opportunity for playing and preparing for concerts and auditions.
Our teachers are experienced professional singers who have performed in operas, oratorios, orchestra concerts, and solo recitals. For more information, click the photo links to the right.
Soloist tuition is based on the needs and level of each individual student.
