Geology is the science of the origins, composition and evolution of the Earth over 5 billion years, and the processes that change the Earth and form the foundation for our existence.
The programme is offered in English.
Geology-Geoscience programme is a research- and field-based MSc programme concerned with the Earth, geological materials, processes and structures, as well as the study of the history of the Earth and of life on Earth. You can choose between these four specialisations: Sedimentary Basins, Palaeoclimate and Hydrocarbon Resources, Solid Earth Geochemistry and Petrology, Solid Earth Geophysics or Water Resources.

If you have completed a Bachelor’s degree or are enrolled in the final semester of a Bachelor’s programme you are eligible to apply for the Master’s programme in Geology-Geoscience.

- BSc in Geology-Geoscience from the University of Copenhagen (reserved access to the programme*)
*Bachelor’s degree with reserved access to the programme
If your Bachelor’s degree grants a legal right of admission, you are guaranteed a place on the Master’s programme if you apply before the application deadline during the first application period after you complete your bachelor’s degree.
