In the Master’s Programme in Languages, specialising in German you can study various aspects of the German language, such as linguistics, literature and philology. German is spoken by about 100 million people in Europe and is therefore one of the most important language in the EU.
WHY THIS PROGRAMME?
The Faculty of Languages at Uppsala University has Sweden’s broadest range of education in languages and language-related subjects. You choose to specialise in one of the main field of studies. It can be language, literature, linguistics and more.
Courses from other faculties can also be included in your degree to further specialise your education. The program gives you the opportunity to read work-oriented courses specially designed for language students. The studies will also prepare you for future research, making you eligible for doctoral studies.
The programme leads to a Master of Arts (120 credits) in German. After one year of study, it may also be possible to obtain a Master of Arts (60 credits) in German.
