INNOVATIVE LEADERS FOR THE FUTURE WORLD!
THE MASTER’S DEGREE PROGRAMME IN GLOBAL INNOVATION MANAGEMENT IS DESIGNED TO BRING A SCIENTIFIC MINDSET TO MANAGERIAL CHALLENGES AT THE CROSSROADS OF INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS, ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATION MANAGEMENT.
In the Master’s Degree Programme, you will acquire advanced knowledge in innovation management related theories and practices and will be able to develop and apply frameworks which help to understand how innovations are created, launched and managed in an international setting. You will also learn how entrepreneurial activities are formed and what are the key strategies that companies use in order to expand.
The competence gained in the Programme opens up numerous career opportunities in different kinds of organisational settings and roles as well as the possibility to apply for doctoral training.
The extent of the Programme is 120 ECTS credits and the degree is designed to be completed in two years. In addition to major and minor studies, students must take language studies and need to complete methodology courses. Students should note that this is a full-time Programme and most courses have compulsory attendance.
In addition to courses focusing on international business, entrepreneurship and innovation management, students can take elective courses.
All applicants must apply to the Programme through the electronic system of Studyinfo.fi portal. The admission decisions are made by Turku School of Economics, University of Turku.
Applicant may apply for two different Master’s degree programmes in TSE, if they are eligible. If the applicant applies for two programmes, they must submit two complete applications including required enclosures for each programme. Only complete applications will be processed.
NB! A degree student of TSE can at one time hold the study right for only one degree on the same level. When a student is granted a second study right by the TSE for a degree on the same level, they must renounce their earlier degree study right if the degree in question is still incomplete.
Please note that students accepted might need to complete supplementary studies in addition to the Programme’s studies. Supplementary studies cover studies that supplement the earlier degree of students chosen to complete a Master’s degree.
Supplementary studies aim to provide students with sufficient prerequisites to complete their Master’s degree. The studies are defined student-specifically based on their earlier studies. The level of supplementary studies is basic and intermediate and the amount is max. 60 ECTS.
An applicant should enroll to a language test early enough, e.g., 1-2 months before a test day. This is important because the test results are needed at the end of the application period and the tests might be already full for a late application.
