Globalization and the increased interconnectedness created by the rapid flow of capital, people, goods, images and ideologies across national boundaries requires a new set of specialized educational tools. The two-year Master in Globalization and Sustainable Development prepares students to analyze the complex interactions between the political, economic, cultural and social trends which are having profound effects on our contemporary world.
The master program accepts Norwegian and Nordic students, in addition to self-financed international students.
Admission to the Master in Globalization and Sustainable Development requires a BA in Humanities or Social Sciences with a specialization of minimum 80 ECTS credits in one of the following disciplines:
- Political science
- Social anthropology
- European Studies
- Social economics
- Development studies
- International relations
- Social work
To be accepted into the programme students must have at least an average grade of C (by the Norwegian grading system) in the admission criteria. A C grade, however, does not guarantee admission.
