We offer you a world-class programme that provides you with the tools and skills to understand the design of information systems that address important organisational and societal challenges.
In this programme you will learn how information and communication technologies and artificial intelligence can be used to achieve strategic goals, and how to design and develop modern information systems which are flexible to the goals and needs of the organisation. You will gain a deeper understanding of the wider business context of information systems and how digitalisation affects organisations.
The courses are designed to help you practice the theory, models and tools on real and complex problems in information systems, as well as its design and development. You will also learn how to participate in and manage IS-related change and innovation projects in national and international contexts.
International Master Class
LUSEM invites students enrolled in selected one-year Master’s programmes, to apply for an “International Master Class” at one of our prestigious partner universities. This is a unique opportunity to add-on a semester to the masters’ studies in Lund. Fee-paying students pay for an additional semester at Lund University, and non-fee paying students go free of any tuition fees. Students currently registered at the MSc in Information Systems can apply to: University of Mannheim, School of Business Informatics and Mathematics, Germany; University of Münster, School of Business and Economics, Germany; University of Economics, Prague.

An undergraduate degree (BA/BSc) with at least 60 ECTS credits of IS related courses. These must include: 1) Foundations and Role of IS, 2) Systems Analysis and Design, 3) Data and Information, 4) Human-Computer Interaction, and 5) Organisation and IS. English 6/English course B.
Based on previous university/college studies and Statement of Purpose.
English language requirements
Most of Lund University’s programmes require English Level 6 (unless otherwise stated under “Entry requirements”). This is the equivalent of an overall IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL score of 90. There are several ways to prove your English language proficiency – check which proof is accepted at the University Admissions in Sweden website. All students must prove they meet English language requirements by the deadline, in order to be considered for admission.
