The Master’s degree programme in Mathematics develops your knowledge of scientific theories and methods, your experience in working independently with scientific questions and your ability to express yourself clearly on academic issues. Thus, the programme qualifies you to participate in scientific work and independently handle business functions with your background in these learned skills.

To apply for the Master’s programme in Mathematics, you need a relevant Bachelor’s degree. You can apply if you hold a BSc in Mathematics from University of Southern Denmark, Aarhus University, University of Copenhagen, Aalborg University or Roskilde University.

You can also apply if you hold a similar degree including a minimum of 75 ECTS within the field of Mathematics. The following subject areas must be covered:

  • Geometry and topology (at least 10 ECTS)
  • Algebra (at least 10 ECTS)
  • Real and complex analysis (at least 20 ECTS)
  • Statistics and probability (at least 10 ECTS

Once you apply, the Study Board will assess whether your degree is qualifying.
