The future for product- and system design is unlimited. You can be part of moulding the offshore-future with a Master’s Degree in Product and System Design from NTNU in Ålesund. Advanced Maritime Operations are in the center of Western Norway’s shipping activities. The program focuses on the design of ship equipment and maritime systems. Despite the focus on the maritime, the applied design methods are generic, and can be applied to other industries.
– Admission requirements
The normal requirements for entry to the MSc programmes will be a Bachelor of Science degree or a similar qualification (at least 3 years of university study) in areas related to mechanical engineering, automation, mechatronics, ship design or marine engineering with minimum 30 ECTS mathematics (one semester). An average grade equivalent to a Norwegian C is required in order to be considered. Additional 2 years of relevant experience in the field is required for applying the professional MSc (90ECTS). Part-time studies are possible, and will be considered case to case after entering in the regular program.
All lectures are given in English. A good working knowledge of English is therefore essential. Applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate their capacity to complete a graduate programme in English.
