LAND MANAGEMENT

The aim of the programme in Surveying, Planning and Land Management with specialisation in Land Management is to provide you with knowledge and competence in dealing with spatial development, governance and land administration systems. It inspires the development and implementation of land-use related policies and regulation, as well as specific land management strategies and spatial plans in both urban and rural areas.

Land management is a central activity in society that plays a deciding part in the economy and in the organisation of land related rights and responsibilities. It is a key element in how we shape democracy, living conditions and the environment. It deals with managing relations between people, policies and places in support of sustainable spatial development. Land management is therefore concerned with the actual governing as well as innovations in the governance of land. It includes careful consideration of the interaction between public authorities, private developers and businesses, land owners, and citizens.

It takes two years to attain a Master’s degree in Land Management, and during this time you will meet a wide range of researchers and professionals who will present you with new knowledge and practices in key areas.

The study programme is internationally oriented, and attracts Danish as well as international students. Furthermore, the programme offers the opportunity of an internship or/and an external study as well as study trips inside and outside Denmark during the 3rd semester.

SURVEYING AND MAPPING

This programme will provide you with theories and practical knowledge on how to use positioning/mapping technologies such as satellite positioning, photogrammetry, remote sensing and laser scanning. After completing the programme, you will be able to analyse and solve real world problems related to positioning/mapping.

It takes two years to attain a Master of Science (MSc) in Surveying, Planning and Land Management with specialisation in Surveying and Mapping, and during this time you will meet a wide range of teachers who will present you with new knowledge in key areas.

The educational programme is internationally oriented, and attracts Danish as well as international students. Furthermore the educational programme offers the opportunity of an internship or/and an external study as well as study trips inside and outside Denmark during the 3rd semester.

 

MASTER OF SCIENCE (MSC) (CAND.GEOM)

The Master of Science (MSc) (cand.geom) is primarily for students with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Surveying, Planning and Land Management.

If you have another relevant Bachelor’s degree, for instance Geography or the like, you can apply for the Master of Science in Technology programme (cand.tech.)

 

APPLICATION AND REQUIREMENTS

If you have a bachelor degree in Surveying, Planning and Land Management you gain direct access to the the Master’s programme (cand.geom.) in Surveying, Planning and Land Management.
